With experience and expertise obtained during their active involvement days in the timber industry, the Basuki brothers - Johannes Sujanto Basuki and Stefanus Widagdo Basuki - started operation with only a small number of employees in a small workshop on July 16, 1981 for the production of Kiln Drying System.

Expanding on the concept of being customer oriented with first-class quality as its primary focus, Basuki's specially-designed timber industry Kiln Drying System was well accepted by the country's private sector as well as government-owned enterprises.

Sold beyond the national boundaries to countries such as Vietnam and Japan, extensive expertise obtained in the production of Kiln Drying System has allow PT Basuki Pratama Engineering to expand into the production of boilers, pollution control system, heaters, timber impregnation plant and centrifugal fan.

Today, Basuki Pratama Engineering has gained an ability of producing products suitable for usage beyond the timber industry to numerous other manufacturing industries.
